Greetings from Auburn!

Welcome to the first issue of Counselor Chronicle, our guidance counselor
quarterly newsletter, from Auburn University’s Office of Recruitment.

As this school year begins, many of your graduates of 2007 will begin their
first year at Auburn! We are thrilled to welcome them into the Auburn
family and will do our best to create an exciting and enriching college
experience. In addition, we look forward to working with you and your
current seniors as they enjoy their last year of high school with an eye on
their future college career. Please let us know how we can help you as you
offer advice and guidance during this important time in their lives.

As part of our efforts to enhance Auburn’s relationship with all of you,
we will provide updates via e-mail, personal visits and an upcoming Web
site. Plus, you will have an opportunity to meet our territory managers as
they visit in your schools and at college fairs. We will host our inaugural
counselor advisory board on campus this fall. This rotational position will
give us an opportunity to understand each other better. It will give you a
voice in our learning how to better serve you and your students.

As director of university recruitment and a graduate of Auburn, I am honored
to be in a position to lead a dedicated team who will introduce Auburn to
literally thousands of students and families! I truly look forward to meeting
many of you during the process.
