Athletics

Auburn University is a member of the Southeastern Conference and currently fields 21 NCAA Division 1-A athletic teams. Our costumed mascot is a tiger named Aubie, and our symbol is a bald eagle named Tiger. The University's colors are burnt orange and navy blue. Visit the Auburn University's Athletic Sports website.

Greek Life Organizations

The mission of the Office of Greek Life is to improve the quality of student life at Auburn University and to support fraternal ideals by assisting the fraternity and sorority councils, chapters, officers and members in developing a community that challenges its members to live and lead according to their own organization's creeds and principles. Student Goverment Association (SGA)

"Serving and promoting the individual student; unifiying all that is Auburn."

The Student Goverment Association desires to provide an effective organization for the administration of student activities:

  • to promote official channels through which student opinions may be expressed
  • to promote academic freedom and academic responsibility
  • to improve student physical, social and cultural welfare
  • to promote students' rights and responsibilities
  • to foster awareness of the student's position in campus, local, state, national and international communities; and
  • to promote full cooperation between student, faculty and administration; and recognizing that a student organization
  • embodying these principles is necessary in the building of a great University, do ordain and establish this constitution in
  • exercise of authority delegated to us by the Board of Trustees and the President of Auburn University.

University Program Council (UPC)

The University Program Council (UPC) is Auburn's largest student activity project. UPC provides entertainment for the entire campus in the form of major concerts, lectures, free blockbuster and outdoor movies, comedians, plays and inflatable games. UPC produces over 100 special events each year including Tigermaina, Splash into Spring and Tiger Nights, the most successful late-night programming event in the nation. All events are programmed by twelve student committees, which are led by student directors and assistants.
