Parking Tickets and Appeals

How to pay your Parking Ticket.....

Tickets associated with students will be charged to their e-bill and can be paid on-line or at the Bursar's Office.  Tickets associated with faculty or staff can either be paid at the Parking Services Office or after 21 days the ticket will be deducted through payroll deduction and an additional $3 will be added to the ticket fee for each ticket deducted.  Visitors and vendors who receive a parking ticket should go to the Parking Services Office at 330 Lem Morrison Drive to reconcile any tickets or submit payment to "Auburn University" and include the ticket number on their check to:

There is a payment drop box located at the Parking Services Office on the second level of the South Quad Deck that can be used by faculty, staff, vendors and visitors to pay parking tickets. There are envelopes with instructions for paying a ticket at this location.

Students, faculty and staff who receive a parking ticket and feel that it was issued in error, may appeal the ticket online at AU Access within 10 calendar days from the date that the ticket was issued.  Students, faculty and staff who are unable to appeal online will have to come to the Parking Services Office to file the appeal. A person may only file three appeals between the first day of a Fall semester and the day before the first day of the next Fall Semester. 

To appeal your ticket (Students):


    Log into AU Access.

    Click on the tiger i tab.

    Click on the Parking Services (Hangtags & Tickets) link.

    Click on the Outstanding Citations link.

    Select the Appeal Citation button.

    Enter any appeal comments you have.

    Click on the Appeal Citation button. This will take you into a screen that will let you know that your ticket appeal was submitted and will be reviewed at the next available meeting of the Appeals Board. You will receive an e-mail letting you know your appeal date, time and location. You may appear in person, but are not required to do so.


To appeal your ticket (Faculty and Staff):


    Log into AU Access.

    Click on the Employee Services tab.

    Click on Self Service Banner.

    Click on the Parking Services (AU Main Campus ONLY) link.

    Click on the Outstanding Citations link.

    Select the Appeal Citation button.

    Enter any appeal comments you have.

    Click on the Appeal Citation button. This will take you into a screen that will let you know that your appeal was submitted and will be reviewed at the next available meeting of the Appeals Board. You will receive an e-mail letting you know your appeal date, time and location. You may appear in person, but are not required to do so.


To appeal your Ticket (Non AU Affiliated):


    Come to the Parking Services Office

    Fill out the Appeals Request Form

    You will receive an e-mail letting you know your appeal date, time and location. You may appear in person, but are not required to do so.



The Appeals Board can render one of the folowing three decisions for an appeal; approved, denied or adjusted. A decision of denied or adjusted does not remove the ticket from the determination if a vehicle will be towed or wheel locked. The Board decision will be e-mailed to the appellant and the decision is final, although a person has the right to a second appeal that must be submitted to the Parking Services Office in person within five (5) working days from the date that the appeal decision was sent to them.
