AMCP | Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy
Nationally, the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) is a recognized leader in managed care continuing pharmacy education. AMCP's national offerings include continuing pharmacy education learning activities that provide managed care pharmacists with the knowledge and skills necessary to acquire, maintain, and enhance professional competence.
AMCP Student Pharmacist chapters further mission of AMCP through educational and community service, opportunities for professional growth, and the promotion of managed care pharmacy within their schools.
The Auburn University AMCP student chapter was established in 2015 by two students who are passionate about the use of evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes. Our mission is to empower our members to use managed care pharmacy principles to improve the health of patients within our community. Over the course of our first year, our chapter acquired roughly 50 members and developed several signature events using sound medication management principles. Our chapter strives to continuously develop new and creative events that not only promote managed care but also the profession of pharmacy.
