Having Technical Issues?

  • First, see how things are by connecting at the Auburn and Mobile Campuses with a Ethernet cable. Home connections and wireless access can be to slow or there maybe firewall issues. We recommend that you purchase a CAT-6 Ethernet cable - standard wired network cable - and connect to the campus wired network for best playback.
  • Mobile and non-Auburn campus users, one may need to use the VPN to view a program. Test without VPN first. To install VPN go to http://www.auburn.edu/oit/vpn. Call 844-4944 for assistance.
  • I can watch videos at other sites but not DejaView. Connect to the VPN first (see above comment).
  • Is your computer firewall blocking anything?
  • Black video or no video. This is a CODEC or network issue. First, use the VPN (see above comment). Second, some browsers have Flash, like IE 10 and Chrome. If needed go to https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html. Third, Try different browsers: Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
  • Black video or no video. This is a CODEC or network issue. First, use the VPN (see above comment). Second, do you have Silverlight installed? Install or reinstall Silverlight. To install Silverlight go to http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/. Third, MAC users may need to install Google Chrome.
