Sylvia Rogers joined the Harrison School of Pharmacy on June 1, 2017 as a Curriculum Administrator in the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment. As a Curriculum Administrator, Rogers is charged with making sure that the learning experiences of the student runs smoothly with the new curriculum. This includes creating instructional materials, assessment and any other necessary materials to support the new curriculum. She will be working with students and faculty on a variety of projects.

Prior to coming to HSOP, Rogers was an assistant professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of South Alabama from 2015-17. While working on her Ph.D. at USA from 2010-14, she served as a graduate assistant instructional designer in the department. Before returning to academia, Rogers worked in technical support at Retail Technologies, Inc.

Rogers earned bachelor's degrees from South Alabama in both Russian Language and History (1986) and in Computer Science (2001). She returned to South Alabama to pursue her Ph.D. in Instructional Design, graduating in 2014.

Active in the Association for Educational Communication & Technology (AECT), she currently holds the position of secretary in the Research and Theory Division. In her spare time, Rogers enjys reading, walking, embroidery, pretending to be able to draw and paint.
