Brittany Bethea, Pharm.D. is a Professor of Practice in the Academic Programs unit at the Harrison School of Pharmacy. She received her Pharm.D. from the Harrison School of Pharmacy in 2013.

As a Professor of Practice, Dr. Bethea participates in the Practice Ready Curriculum with Pharm.D. students in small and large group instruction, active delivery of educational content, and assessment of pharmacy related skills. Additionally, she precepts students in both active and simulated patient care activities, collaborates with other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized patient care plans, utilizes an electronic health record to document all patient care activities, and identifies patients for pharmacist led interventions using population health metrics.

Dr. Bethea previously served as an Integrated Pharmacotherapy Facilitator with HSOP.

Prior to coming back to Auburn, she completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. She transitioned to her role as IP facilitator after serving as the Cardiology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Princeton Baptist Medical Center from 2014-17. In 2015, Dr. Bethea became a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She has previously served as a preceptor for pharmacy practice residents and fourth year pharmacy students.
