Message from the President:
Greetings and welcome to the website of the Kappa Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I extend to you an invitation to explore our website and learn about our exemplary organization. On January 15, 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated became the first Greek-letter organization for African American women. For the past 103 years, our sorority has continued to uphold the values of sisterhood, scholarship, and supreme service in our communities.
Since its chartering on June 12, 1976, the Kappa Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated continues to preserve the legacy that Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was founded upon. Located on the campus of Auburn University, Kappa Chi is exceptionally involved in implementing service programs, focusing on high scholastics, and fostering a sisterhood among college women.
Kappa Chi maintains a stronghold on the mission of our prestigious sorority. This mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind.
We sincerely appreciate your visit to our chapter's website. Please feel free to browse the pages and see all that Kappa Chi has to offer our great university and the surrounding communities. Thanks again and War Eagle!
