COSAM celebrates graduate students and the impact they make in research

On March 14, the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) celebrated the diverse and exciting research happening at the Spring 2023 Graduate Student Research Forum. Five graduate students presented their research and were honored for their research contributions. The Graduate Student Research Forum was formally known as the Interdisciplinary Colloquium, and the active committee of graduate students who organize this event, Prosenjit Ray (chair), Ishveen Kaur, Kaitlyn Murphy, and Nafiul Huda, were pleased to see the increase in attendance as this event switched to a luncheon this Spring semester.

COSAM's Acting Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies Mark Liles congratulated each of the winners with certificates and prizes. “Graduate students in COSAM are working on very impactful research projects. Presenting their research and translating their findings to a diverse audience will help them in their future careers,” said Liles. “We actively encourage graduate students to take advantage of this opportunity to present at the Graduate Student Research Forum in future semesters, and hope to continue to see great attendance from COSAM colleagues at this luncheon!”
