Rural Medicine Program students dedicate their lives to giving back to the state of Alabama

“I am devoted to bridging the gap with rural communities and helping provide healthcare solutions in small communities in this state,” said Cameron Roddy.

 

This year’s class of Rural Medicine Program (RMP) students took their group photo on the steps of the Sciences Center Classrooms building. These students from rural Alabama are on the path to become physicians that focus on communities with smaller populations.

Beat Bama Food Drive begins Oct. 1

The Beat Bama Food Drive kicks off all day on Friday, Oct. 1. Join the Beat Bama Food Drive at noon on Friday for a dunk tank that will be placed on the Campus Green.



Since 1994, Auburn University and the Food Bank of East Alabama have united students, faculty, alumni and community members to help fight hunger and poverty in East Alabama by challenging the University of Alabama and the West Alabama Food Bank to see who can collect more non-perishable food to help those in need. This good-natured competition has made an impact that reaches far beyond the campuses where it began. Since its inception in 1994, the competition has raised over 6 million pounds of food for Alabamians without proper access to food. Help the Beat Bama Food Drive win the food fight trophy in East Alabama as they look to beat hunger and beat Bama.
