“I am proud that COSAM honored more than 200 students for their hard work and dedication in pursuing the study of sciences and mathematics at this year’s ceremony,” explained Dean Nicholas J. Giordano. Learn more about the students celebrated and watch a short video of the ceremony.

“I am extremely honored and humbled to receive the President's Medal,” Kevin said. “I absolutely did not expect to be selected above all of my peers in COSAM for this honor. I know many students who are just as deserving, but I am extremely excited to be selected nonetheless.” Read about this honor.

The Dean's Leadership Council is a network of alumni and friends who believe in enhancing and promoting the sciences and mathematics mission of the college. The members visited the center, which is located inside Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum, and received first-hand experience working with the center’s robots, drones and 3D printers. “I thought it was a really good fit for our students because of the shadowing piece, plus the service piece, which is really important to students applying to medical school, and just getting them out of their comfort zones,” Crider said, adding that there are plans to make the trip an annual opportunity.
