Summer Graduation Marshal Learns About Conservation and Seeks to Find Sustainable Business Solutions

Learn about this summer's COSAM Graduation Marshal, Natasha Lloyd. Not only is she more than 8,000 miles from home, but she is serious about saving the environment while helping businesses become more sustainable. COSAM Physics and Chemistry Faculty Awarded $530,000 National Science Foundation Grant to Research Oxide Materials Relevant to Fuel Cell Technology

Two COSAM faculty members are working together on research that could result in more economical fuel cell technology through a grant worth more than a half-million dollars from the National Science Foundation with additional support from EPSCoR.  Find out about the forward-thinking research that Dr. Ryan Comes and Dr. Byron Farnum are conducting

 The 23rd Annual Dean’s Scholarship Golf Tournament

The 23rd Annual Dean’s Scholarship Golf Classic takes place on Friday, September 7, at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Grand National.  More than 65 COSAM students have received scholarships through this golf classic.  Check out this year’s event.

 Drone Camp Provides Opportunities to Teach Students STEM Skills

Drone Camp provides opportunities for students to develop problem solving skills over the summer break while understanding how to fly drones successfully through a complex obstacle course. See more photos and learn about the skills students are developing at Drone Camp.

 New Advising Model Strengthens Support for Students

COSAM is now offering professional advising for all students to ensure more consistent and open communication.  Students can also benefit from a great new app filled with essential information and should plan to attend an open house for all COSAM students on Wednesday, August 29.
