Title: The wonderful generic world

Abstract: Most compact sets -- in the sense of Baire categories -- are nowhere dense. So, they are close to objects of study in Discrete Geometry. We shall investigate the well-known Erdős problem about empty polygons. If the points of these typical compacta are stars of our universe, we shall see how dense they appear on the sky, and why it depends on the point of view.
