Details: Speaker: Alex Shibakov plans to fly to Auburn, weather permitting, to speak in our seminar. Stu will provide a backup option.
Topic: the general topic is convergence in topological groups.
Alternate topic (Stu): a result of van Engelen and van Mill that if an analytic subset A of the plane cannot be contained in the union of three lines, then A contains a perfect set P no three points of which are collinear.
