Math Excel 

MATHEXCEL is an alternate way of teaching certain lecture sections of our math courses.  In addition to the regular lectures, students are required to attend special “workshops” in which they actively participate in learning solutions to problems under the guidance of qualified graduate students.  Active learning in small groups is stressed in these sessions as the instructors guide your thinking.  It requires a little more in-class time each week, but the outcomes are excellent.  MATHEXCEL students typically do at least one letter grade better than their counterparts in “regular” sections.

Each semester, when you see your academic advisor for registration information, he/she should be able to tell you which courses and which sections will have the EXCEL option available.
