Graduate Student Award: Isuru R. Ariyarathna


Isuru AriyarathnaIsuru R. Ariyarathna is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry whose research focuses on computational chemistry.

During the last four years at Auburn, he has published eleven research articles, three of which were offered the front cover of corresponding journal issues.

Isuru has presented posters on his research at eight conferences. He received the “Best Poster Award” for his poster at the 2018 meeting of the Southeast Theoretical Chemistry Association and also won the COSAM College Specific “Best Poster Award” at Auburn University’s 2018 This is Research Student Symposium.

He has spoken at Sanibel Symposium, This is Research Student Symposium, Interdisciplinary colloquium, and four times in COSAM’s Physical Chemistry seminar series.

Isuru has co-authored three scientific book chapters and has been a peer reviewer for several publications.
