AU PROFESSOR WRITES BOOK ON JAPANESE ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY
AUBURN -- William Boulton, the Olan Mills Professor of Strategic Management at Auburn University, has completed a new book -- The Japanese Electronics Industry -- that will be published in June. The book is being published by CRC Press LLC of Boca Raton, Fla.
Boulton, who has lived and worked in Japan as an executive, professor and research scholar, has written numerous articles and reports on Japan and its electronics industry. His new book is the second of a three-volume set on the subject.
Boulton is also at work on a book concerning the impact of corruption on economic development is Asia.
Boulton, who has been at the AU College of Business since 1990, has a doctorate in business strategy and policy from the Harvard Business School.
Since 1992, he has been a member of three research teams and edited three reports on electronics manufacturing technologies and industrial development policies of Japan and other Asian nations.
