About:
The RBD Library is named after Auburn's 10th president, Ralph Brown Draughon. The library holds 3.6 million volumes for research in every subject offered by the university and has more than 4,800 seats for patron use. Initially completed in 1963, in 1990 the size of the library doubled with a new addition. In 2017, the Mell classroom building with its 26 engaged and active student learning (EASL) classrooms and 40 study spaces was added to connect formal learning more tightly with the various resources located in the library.
