About:
The first phase of the Shelby Center for Engineering Technology opened its doors late in 2007. The second phase was completed in August 2011. The center supports multidisciplinary collaboration to advance technology in transportation and other important and emerging areas of engineering. Named for U.S. Senator Richard Shelby, it holds research laboratories, classrooms, lecture halls and administrative offices.
