Service Support

Service Support strives to assist the Auburn University community by providing diverse logistic services.

Items such as folding chairs, folding tables, risers and podiums are available for homecoming, registration, concerts, graduations and other university sponsored events.

Delivery and pick up surcharge is $21, and break down is based off a unit hourly rate. Please speak to Michael Hood regarding other delivery/pickup options.

Service Support will rent stages to student organizations and perform all necessary work to set up, secure and break down stages from 7:30 a.m. till 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, except university approved holidays.

Student organizations with events after 4 p.m. on a weekday, weekend or holiday may request  delivery and set up before 4 p.m. or on a Friday if the event is held during the weekend. Stages will be available to student organizations for the evening and weekend. Service Support will break down the stages the morning of the next available work day.

If event planners give at least two weeks (10 working days) notice before events occurring after 4 p.m. on weekends and on holidays, Service Support may be available to provide setups. If Service Support is unable to provide the necessary voluntary overtime workers, we will notify the customer at least one week (seven working days) prior to the event so that other arrangements can be made.

All requests for stage renting and set ups must be coordinated by calling 884-HELP.

Only employees of Auburn University who have been adequately trained will be allowed to set up or break down stages.

Service Support routinely cleans the Arboretum twice per week and the Stadium Parking Deck once per week. We are also available for graffiti removal.

Our services vary from pressure washing sidewalks to special clean-up requests after football games. Window washing up to the second floor is also available. Please call 844-HELP to request these services.

Support Services is available to move furniture and equipment. Requests should be placed with Work Management by calling 844-HELP at least 10 business days before the moving date. Departments will be billed through Direct Charge. Direct all questions to Michael Hood.

Typical move request process

  • Step 1: Send a memo to Property Services, Linda Lauderdale, describing the move and key participants.
  • Step 2: Once the move is approved by Property Services, a work order is created and sent to Service Support.
  • Step 3: Service Support contacts and coordinates move with customer.

What to do before movers arrive

  • View move checklist.
  • Empty desks to be moved.
  • Unplug computers and other electronic equipment.
  • Empty lateral file cabinets.
  • Box files to be moved.
  • Label all boxes with the department name, owner name, new building name and new room number.
