UAS Remote Drone Pilot License Part 107 Workshop
This course will be taught by the UAS Program Manager for Auburn University. It will cover all required areas to prepare you to take the FAA Remote Pilot license test. Once you are registered for the course you will be sent links for some UAS study information. For individuals that have not been involved in the flying side of aviation there is a lot to absorb in two days so we will provide you with additional information to study PRIOR to the course instruction. The FAA test will be offered on the final afternoon of instruction.
This training will be offered from 8AM to 12PM on the following dates:
- April 25-26, 2019
- May 23-24, 2019
- July 11-12, 2019 (this class will be at Gulf Shores, AL in the Auburn Educational Complex in Gulf Shores, AL.)

- November 21-22, 2019
- January 16-17, 2020
- March 19-20, 2020
- May 7-8, 2020
- July 9-10, 2020
The cost of the training course is $300.00.
***IMPORTANT: There is an additional $150 to the FAA for the Part 107 test. Once you have signed up for the course and receive your email from Earle Thompson, which will have study links and an attachment for payment information to the FAA, you will need to send that filled out attachment to Earle Thompson at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule the test on the last day of the class.

Except for the July 11-12, 2019 class, which will be held at the Auburn Educational Complex in Gulf Shores, AL., This class is located at Auburn University Regional Airport at the address above. If on I-85 take Exit 57, Bent Creek Rd. and turn to the north. Proceed to the traffic light at the intersection of Bent Creek Rd and Glenn Avenue. Proceed straight across that intersection on Mike Hubbard Blvd to the airport parking lot. The terminal building is the one with the flagpole in front.
Park in the parking lots at the terminal.
If a registration is canceled for any reason, the individual or organization making the original tuition payment will receive: (1) a full refund, less an administrative fee of $25, if the cancellation request is received in writing within 15 days of the start of the session; (2) a refund of 50%, if the cancellation request is received in writing less than 15 days of the start of the session, but before the start date; (3) no refund for a 'No Show' or for a cancellation request received on the start date or after the session is in progress.
Note: A registration may be transferred to another person for a $25 fee. Auburn University reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrollment. If a course is canceled due to low enrollment, registration fees are refunded in full.
