Kaniz Afroz Tanni is a Ph.D. student working within the Department of Health Outcomes Research and Policy, pursuing pharmacoepidemiological research with a view to evaluating the comparative effectiveness and safety of drugs. Her focus area also lies in pharmacovigilance that involves continual monitoring for unwanted effects and other safety concerns arising in drugs that are already on the market.

The greater goal of her research work is to work with RWD (Real World Data) to help establish real-world evidence (RWE) that can be utilized to inform and guide healthcare decision making. She has experience of working as a Lecturer at University of Asia Pacific in Bangladesh for three years.
