Chinese Privet

Leaves are simple, opposite and persistent on hairy twigs. Older twigs and bark are gray with lenticels. Fruit is a blue-black, round drupe. Form is a shrub or a small tree up to 6 m (20 ft) that has aggressively colonized open areas in the eastern U.S.
