        My mom has always called me J since before I can remember.  I really don't know how JJ came about, but it started in about first grade. And, I have been JJ ever since.  I never had any elementary teachers call me by JJ, but when I got in high school all my friends would call me this; plus the fact we had at one time 3 Justin's and a Dustin in an English class.  So a handful of my teachers actually call me JJ to this day.  A new guy came to my high school my junior year; he was a senior by the time he found out my first name was actually Justin.

I didn't really get called Yeager much until I was in college.  One of the Baseball players for Southern Union had Cal 1 with me.  It didn't take long before the team knew who I was.
