Auburn, AL |
| Developer, Development |
|
|
| · |
Helped formulate, plan and execute the development of programs and peripheral technologies that supported our primary services as well as meet extended client desires and needs. |
| · |
Worked primarily in PHP with MySQL, Javascript,
XML/XSLT with XSL FO, among other languages. |
| · |
Gained exposure to a few programming languages
such as Java and JSP. |
| · |
Worked in Photoshop and Illustrator to create
material images for marketing and packaging,
such as program icons, toolbar icons,
logos, site themes for customers, etc. |
| · |
Worked with Apache web-servers; learned to
set up and maintain Apache servers
and to configure them with the necessary
technology, such as PHP parsing, MySQL
databases. |
| · |
Helped to develop a very modular framework
for digital presentation of operations
manuals. This technology required a
working knowledge of XML and XSLT. |
| · |
Helped to develop a system to track site usage;
also co-developed the sister technology
that allows clients to view the tracking
data in a near-live environment. This
required a strong understanding of
PHP and MySQL database structure, as
well as a working knowledge of Javascript. |

Auburn, AL
|
| Project Leader, Production |
|
|
| · |
Operated
in an ISO 9001 compliant company
that produces training and
other materials for use by large
and small companies, primarily in
the fields of training or sales. |
| · |
Was
responsible for recording a paper
trail of all the steps in the iPOV
process that I completed, per project.
These steps included original script
generation from recorded voice, script
review and editing, video processing
and editing, sound reviews and corrections,
quality control checks both at proof
stage and for final product verification,
cataloging and organization of materials
to be used and/or included in the
projects. |
| · |
Worked
as an on-site Project Manager/Consultant
via a partnership between the Opelika
Uniroyal production facility and
iPOV. This assignment required very
good communication skills, a good
deal of charisma and politicking,
good time management, a focus on
quality and attention to detail.
It involved the use of video and
audio equipment as well as a tolerance
for manufacturing environments. |
| · |
Also
assigned to produce materials for
Auburn University’s School
of Business pertaining to the Doctoral
in Management program. These materials
are designed to effectively explain
exactly how the Doctoral program
operates, what is needed to apply
and then complete the program, and
to make it easier for potential PhD
students to find the information
they need on a range of subjects.
This project required very good time
management, creativity, and a focus
on simplicity of design. |

| 2001 - 2002 |
The
Robert Bosch Corporation
|
Anderson, SC
|
| Cooperative Education Student |
|
|
| · |
Initiated
reviews of productivity; implemented
strategies for increasing
productivity by helping to reduce
number of failed parts, increasing
reliability and accuracy of detection
systems, thus allowing more parts
to flow through each station of a
specific line. |
| · |
Initiated
part data traceability of a GM product;
will expand it to
include all products produced by
the IAFM department. Decreases turnaround
time for any investigation of a part
failure at the GM plant; provides
a part, machine and operator history
to detect and prevent any downward
trends in quality. |
| · |
Daily
troubleshooting of manufacturing
processes and “squashing of
bugs.” This included minor
adjustments of machine settings and
recalibration to assure quality of
parts produced. |
| · |
Assisted
in numerous quality control projects
that included every product
produced by the IAFM department;
utilized Shainin studies to investigate
the processes. |
| · |
Helped
BOSCH – Anderson attain
ISO 9000, 9001 compliance. |
