Final Project – Executive Issues in Construction – Fall 2000
Each
student will use Microsoft Front Page to create a web that will be published on
the class web site. The web will contain the following elements:
1)
Analysis:
Provide a two-page analysis for each of three topics presented by
executives. This analysis shall
focus on the salient ideas and
discussions that were most meaningful to you. The analysis is not to be a
re-hash of the original presentation, but your unique perspectives and
observations of the materials presented.
2)
Interview:
Include at least one interview with a construction professional. The
purpose of the interview is to supplement the information presented by the
construction executive. The
interviews must be well documented and properly referenced.
3)
Interview Summary: Provide a one page executive
summary of the interview.
4)
Research:
Each project shall contain a research component.
The purpose of the research is to supplement or reinforce the material
supplied by the construction executive. You must have at least three sources
(article, interview, Internet site, etc.).
5)
Action Plan:
Assume you are a person starting a new construction business, or a CEO of
an existing business. Develop an
action plan for implementing/incorporating the ideas from the three
presentations that are most meritorious.
