Ecosystem Services Provided by Off-Bottom Oyster Farms

The ecosystem services of oyster reefs have been widely recognized, including but not limited to habitat creation for a variety of species (including commercially important finfish and invertebrates), shoreline protection, and nutrient removal. Our lab is interested in quantifying and, working with economists, valuing the ecosystem services provided by commercial oyster farms.
