Assignment #9 (2019) - Multivariable models

In this assignment you will be assessing the relationship between a continuous y variable and two or more x variables, one of which is continuous and the other is categorical. As always, analyze the data and in a word document and describe all the relationships between X and Y variables. Be sure to use multi-variable models to analyze your data; do not analyze your x-variables separately!

DataSet#1 - In this dataset, you are analyzing the relationship between prey density (X; prey/ha), tiger protection (X; tigers hunted or not hunted), and number of farmers killed by tigers (Y; person/km2). Using the standard sentences, describe the effect of tiger protection and prey density on number of farmers killed by tigers (2 sentences). Don't forget p-values and confidence intervals.

DataSet #2 - In this dataset, you are examining the effect of quail density (X; quail/ha) and habitat type (X; Open pine, Closed Pine, Hardwood, and Ag) on number of quail shot by hunters (Y; quail/hunter). Write a sentence describing the effect of quail density and a sentence describing the differences between Ag and Hardwood on quail kill rates.

Dataset #3 - In this dataset, you are examining how season (X; 4 seasons) and rainfall (X; cm) influence duck body mass (Y; grams). Write a sentence describing the effect of rainfall and a sentence describing the differences between Summer and Spring on duck mass. Also what is the p-value testing the significance of the Season variable as a whole?
