Assignment #5 - T-tests 2020

For this assignment, I want you to analyze the three datasets posted below using the lm function (regression). You will need to write the typical sentence that describes your results (one for each analyzed dataset). Again, that sentence contains everything one needs to know about the results from a t-test analysis (null hypothesis is implied), which is why we use it. Don't forget to state that results or differences were not statistically significant if you fail to reject the null.

DataSet#1 - Difference in quail density (Y; quail/ha) between predator exclusion plots and control plots (X - groups).

DataSet#2 - Differences in plant biomass (Y; kg/m²) between burned plots and control plots (X-groups). (Careful of the 'reference' on this one!). What is the predicted plant biomass (and prediction interval) for burned plots?

DataSet#3 - Difference in antler spread (Y; cm) between deer supplemented with corn and deer not supplemented (X - groups).
