I received a Bachelor of Science degree at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T) in 2007. While at A&T, I received several honors, including being inducted into Eta Kappa Nu honor society and serving as the Computer Engineering nominee for the Namaskar Award. During my last two summers at A&T, I participated in Intuit's internship program in Silicon Valley. With Dr. Corey A. Graves, I was an undergraduate researcher. I entered Auburn University in 2007, to work with Juan Gilbert, as a PhD student in Computer Science. (Juan Gilbert is now at Clemson University.)
On a more personal note, I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My mother is a high school math teacher, which naturally led me to pursue computer science (and also to teach). I am a very family oriented person. God and Family are everything to me. I have a wonderful husband, parents, siblings, grands, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. They mean the world to me!
I really enjoy sports (especially football), logic/puzzle games, watching movies, and arts & crafts projects. Of course, being from the area, I am a fan of all professional Philly teams. Although some of these teams may be in a little slump (i.e. 76ers), I am still a fan at heart. And clearly, undoubtedly, I am an Auburn fan - War Eagle! However, at the heart of my "fan-dom" lies a love for the Aggies of my alma mater - Aggie Pride!. Among my favorite games are Minesweeper, Mastermind, Clue, and a new game that I've discovered, Lock-n-Roll. Moving on to movies, I find comedies and action films most interesting, with a little secret likeness of certain romantic comedies. Just to name a few favorites, there are The Bourne Trilogy, The Ocean's Trilogy, the Transformers series and the Transporter series.
