Welcome

Dr. Srivastava received his Ph.D. degree from the Pennsylvania State University at University Park with a major in Agricultural and Biological Engineering and a minor in Computer Science and Engineering. He is now an Associate Professor, Graduate Program Coordinator, and Undergraduate Ecological Engineering Curriculum Coordinator in the Biosystems Engineering Department at Auburn University. At Auburn, Srivastava has been recognized for his research by two awards, Junior Faculty Research Award and Grantsmanship Award, from the College of Agriculture and Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station. Srivastava has served (and continue to serve) in numerous leadership roles in the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). Examples include Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary of Biological Engineering Executive Council and Steering Committee; Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary of Ecological Engineering Committee; and Associate Editor of the Transaction of the ASABE and Applied Engineering in Agriculture. He has also served as a science advisor to several government agencies in the United States. Srivastava is an active member of the Southeast Climate Consortium (SECC) and serves on its Executive Council and leads its Water Research Group. His research interests include effect of climate variability and change on hydrology and water quality; monitoring and modeling of hydrologic and nonpoint pollutant transport and transformation processes at various scales; fate and transport of nutrients, pesticides, antimicrobials, and pathogens; application of geographic information, global positioning, remote sensing, and neural network systems for natural resources management; and animal waste management. Srivastava is a principal or a co-principal investigator of more than $15 million research funding in the last 10 years. He maintains an active research program that is currently supported by 1 post-doc, 4 Ph.D. students, 1 M.S. student, and several undergraduate students. Srivastava regularly serves on competitive grant panels.
