IRM Paper Guidelines
Your research paper should be of high quality. This means that the logic and content must be well thought-out and clear. You will also be graded on technical aspects of English exposition, including structure, grammar, and punctuation. Your own ideas and assessment must be included rather than just the referenced authors’ conclusions.
Please use an outline and convert it to headings and subheadings that will show the logical flow of your paper. You must cite sources. Use the APA style manual. References must be included.
The paper should be no more than eight pages not including any Figures, Tables, and the References. Footnotes should be avoided. For Internet or electronic sources, you may use the MLA citations:
Author: Last name, First name
Title of Page (in Quotes): “title”
Date page was created
URL (Internet address): http://host computer/directorypath/filename
Date retrieved: (11 February 1999)
Alternatively, you may use the APA suggestion located at http://www.gasou.edu/psychweb/tipsheet/apacrib.htm
This site has the most complete work on electronic citation.
Remember that failure to properly cite sources is unacceptable!
You must provide a presentation of your topic. The presentation may be done as you deem best in terms of AV aids, handouts, etc. You should simulate making a presentation in a corporate environment and aim at convincing upper-level executives.
