COURSE SYLLABUS Course Number: MATH6280 Course Title: SYSTEMS OF DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS AND APPLICATIONS Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisites: MATH2650 Corequisite: Objectives: To present the fundamentals of systems of differential equations and to develop student understanding and problem solving skills in the subject, as necessary for its applications in the sciences and engineering. Course Content: First order systems (9 days). Linear systems (9 days). Nonlinear systems (9 days). LaPlace transforms (9 days). Discrete dynamical systems (9 days). Possible Textbooks: Differential Equations by Blanchard, Devany and Hall Grading and Evaluation Procedures: Tests, midterm exam, final exam, homework projects. Other methods of evaluation are used at the discretion of the instructor.
