College of Architecture, Design and Construction Pumpkin Carve on Friday

According to the Campus Connection:“The Auburn University College of Architecture, Design & Construction (CADC) will hold its annual Pumpkin Carve Friday, Oct. 27, in the courtyard at Dudley Hall on the AU campus. The evening kicks off with face painting for kids and food beginning at 5 p.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for $1.00 each. A bake sale and chili will also be available. The children’s costume contest will begin at 6 p.m. Students from the CADC will begin carving pumpkins at 9 a.m. Friday and will end at 5 p.m., with the judging beginning at 6:30 p.m. Area businesses can purchase a pumpkin to be carved by a student and delivered for display on Saturday. Pumpkins are $5, with all money going to CADC student organizations.”

Also, Southern Living will be visiting our campus to take some shots for next year’s October issue! So come out and support the CADC!

Can someone make this site so that students can post issues and questions to the Senate as well? Basically a way to submit issues or questions and concerns to SGA

I second that! Especially since SGA is having trouble with the website. The “student concerns” info is old, I believe. And it’s not like you can get to it anyways - this would be a great way to connect with the student body.

On that note, the emergency call center/tower/stand (the thing with the blue light) at the corner of Donahue and Samford has been “out of order” for weeks. It is dangerous to tell students that have access to such safety measures and then not maintain them. I hope that SGA knows who are responsible for such maintenence and can clear up the matter. Thanks!

Thank you for letting us know about the emergency light. We conduct semesterly tests (at minimum) on those and present a report to facilities. But we certainly appreciate you letting us know.
