PCR Primers
The Santos Lab is happy to offer a comprehensive list of PCR primers for molecules commonly used in Symbiodinium diversity and phylogenetic studies. This list includes primers for nuclear ribosomal genes and spacers, organellar (e.g. chloroplast and mitochondrial) genes and microsatellite loci from Symbiodinium clades B and C. Along with the primer sequences, expected product size and thermocycling profiles (for a MJ Research PTC-100 machine) are included. The original references for the primer sets are also listed and should be consulted for details regarding the specific PCR cocktail that is needed.
