Welcome!
Study nature, love nature, stay
close to nature. It will never fail you.

As an ecologist and conservationist, I strive to understand the world around me and to share that knowledge with others for the preservation and management of the environment for the generations to come. I grew up in north Florida with a strong love for the outdoors and the critters that lived there. Canids were my main fascination; from the family dogs to the wolves that stalked the frozen north of my imagination. With the loving support of my family, I left FL for New Hampshire and Dartmouth College. There I obtained an education in both academia and the outdoors. I spent my time during and after college chasing some of North Americas great mammals: from wolves to whales to lynxes. I now return to my studies in Wildlife Science here at Auburn in Dr. Steury's Lab. My work will focus on using scat detection dogs to identify the distribution, habitat preferences, and interactions of Striped Skunks, Eastern Spotted Skunks and Long-Tailed Weasels throughout Alabama.
