I was born in Munster, Indiana, where my parents, J. Paul and Beverly, had settled in the 1950's. I studied both the social and the biological sciences in college, eventually attaining a Master's Degree in environmental science. However, my work career took me in other directions; I found myself gaining experience in personnel-related fields, and for a number of years was Personnel Specialist for NBD Highland Park Bank in Illinois.

My son, Brian (Dylewski), graduated from Auburn University in 2002 (BS in Applied Mathematics) and my daughter, Lindsey, graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2004. Lindsey is married to Ryan Norenberg (Oct. 2008) and Brian is engaged to be married to Katie Werneth (Masters degree in Horticulture) and they will be married in Estes Park, CO July 17, 2010.

After relocating in Auburn, Alabama in 1989, I became employed with Auburn University Libraries, again in the position of Human Resource Associate. Currently, I am the Executive Assistant to the Provost for Human Resources.
