Russian calendar. (#0020)

1. On Russian calendars the days of the week are placed on the left side, not on the top row.

2. The Russian week begins on Monday. Look at the example:

   вторник	2	9	16	23	30
   среда	3	10	17	24	31
   четверг	4	11	18	25
   пятница	5	12	19	26
   суббота	6	13	20	27

3. To answer the question когда? with days of the week, we use the preposition в and the day of the week in the accusative case:

   В среду мы были дома.
   On Wednesday we were at home.
   
   В четверг мы смотрели телевизор.
   On Thursday we watched television.
   
   

4. The names of the days of the week are not capitalized in Russian.
