1. A pronoun is a word that is used in place of a noun.

2. The first and second person pronouns in Russian are:

   я = I
   ты = you (singular and familiar)
   
   мы = we
   вы = you (plural and polite)

3. The third person pronouns in Russian are:

   он - (he, it). Used to replace masculine nouns

   1. Это дом. Он там.
   2. Это Максим. Он там.

   она- (she, it). Used to replace feminine nouns

   1. Это Нина. Она там.
   2. Это книга. Она там.

   оно - (it). Used to replace neuter nouns

   1. Это письмо. Оно там.
   2. Это море. Оно там.

   они - (they). Used to replace plural nouns of all genders

   1. Это книга и журнал. Они там.
   2. Это Максим и Надя. Они там.
