John H. Mazaheri
Visual Artist
Statement
I have always loved and practised abstraction (I mean since 1971, when I became a student of J. Lagrange at the Beaux-Arts), but sometimes my work does not seem truly abstract, simply because the inspiration comes from nature. I love, indeed, the sky, the horizon, deserts, mountains, large spaces..., but in fact there is no voluntary representation of anything specific in my art. I just want to express my feelings and emotions through what I call "abstract and lyrical landscapes."
