Travel by Air: The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia, is the most used airport for travel to Auburn for both international and domestic travel.

A convenient shuttle between the airport and several locations in the Auburn area, including the AU Hotel, is provided by

Please check the shuttle schedule and availability before purchasing an airplane ticket. Note that Atlanta, Georgia, is in the Eastern Time Zone, whereas Auburn, Alabama, is in the Central Time Zone. Atlanta departures, domestic terminal (North/South): 5:30am, 6:45am, 8:00am, 9:15am, 10:30am, 11:45am, 1:00pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm, 4:45pm, 6:00pm, 7:15pm, 8:30pm, 9:45pm, 11:00pm, 12:15am, 1:30am. It is advisable to be at the pickup location 10 min before departure. To assure a seat make reservations; the shuttle may be full (sometimes even leaving earlier if all on board), or not going if there are no reservations.

On return, it may be convenient for some travelers to take the shuttle to the Atlanta airport or drive to Atlanta the night before the return flight and stay a night at one of the many Atlanta airport hotels with a free and frequent shuttle to the airport. Note the one-hour time difference between Auburn and Atlanta, particularly if your flight is early in the day.

Travel by Car
Traveling by car on I-85 take exit 51 (South College St, direction north) towards Auburn University. Coming from Birmingham you may travel on H-wy 280 (connecting to North College St in Auburn), or I-65 to Montgomery, then I-85 towards Atlanta (Auburn).



Parking
March 14th - 17th before 5pm: Conference participants may park in the Library Deck (first floor) and Comer Lot (a big parking lot across Roosevelt Dr from the Library Deck), zones A and B. No permit required.

After 5pm and on weekends, in addition to the above, park anywhere, including the Allison (physics) parking lot, closest to Parker, zones A and B.



Miscellaneous
Going by rental car from Auburn to the Atlanta Airport: 90min to drive, 30min (probably less) to return the car, arrive 120min before the flight, 1 hour time difference - you need to leave 5 hours before the flight by the Central Time clock. Gas stations close to the airport are at Exit 64 (Georgia) on I-85.
