Square


All sides of the square have the same lengths and the interior angles are all equal to 90 degrees.  Also, opposite sides are parallel.

Rectangle

The opposite sides of a rectangle are parallel and equal in length.  All interior angles equal 90 degrees.

Parallelogram

The opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal, as are the lengths of the opposite sides.  Opposite sides are parallel.

Rhombus

The opposite angles or a rhombus are equal and the opposite sides are parallel.  All sides are equal in length.

Trapezoid

None of the angles are related....... none of the side lengths are related.  The only characteristic that can be observed is that one set of the sides are parallel.

Isosceles Trapezoid

The base angles are equal.  At least one set of opposite sides are parallel. The non-base sides are equal in length.
