ZSS DBD Training/DBD Reports

There are several reports which can be generated for ZSS systems. There are four which report from the DBD.

AU3125

This report is generated by the XBA030 program. It is the basic DBD listing for an application system. This report can be quite large, and is the basic report that is given to the user. The report contains all of the description for an element that is contained in the DBD and all of its translation values, element by element.

This report is generated by the XBA040 program. This report is sometimes called the technical DBD list or the system edit list. It does not include all of the description of elements, but contains record layouts that can be useful to the programmer.

This report is generated by the XBA050 program. This report lists all batch maintenance transactions. For each transaction, a description of the transaction (as contained in the DBD) is given, and each field on the transaction is given.

This report is generated by the XBA060 program. This report is somewhat similar to the XBA040 report, and is often called the DBD layout report. It can be quite useful for the programming staff.
