Topic:
Internal Documentation Standards

Standard:
Internal documentation should contain certain basic information.

Procedures:
Source listings and copies of documentation are not required in hard copy form.

All correspondence generated during the development or maintenance task should be retained.

Representative sample output is not required. However, if it is difficult to reproduce the output, or if the output is on an unusual form, a representative sample of the output should be included with internal documentation.

Transparencies of all special forms should be kept for internal documentation, but in a separate, well-defined area.

Retain copies of incident reports, where appropriate.
