- Homework: Self-checked
homework questions will be assigned. Homework questions are important references
for the chapter tests and the final exam.
- Attendance (10%): Class
attendance will be checked from time to time. Students with perfect
attendance record will receive 2 bonus points.
- Chapter Test (60%): There will be six chapter tests with different lengths and weights. A chapter test will
be given right after the corresponding chapter has been completed. You may use a calculator with
only arithematic operations in the tests.
- Final Exam (30%): The final exam
is comprehensive --- it covers all key points of the course.
- Tutorial Section: Please visit
the study
partner program.
- Make Up: Make ups of
chapter tests are permitted only with legitimate
reasons and documents. Students missing a chapter test should contact me
within one week from the excused absence date, and complete the make up
within two weeks thereafter. The percentage
grade of a missing chapter test without being made up will be 1/2 of
the lowest percentage grade of all chapter tests you will have
taken.
