• Grade (100%): = Attendance (10%) + Chapter Tests (60%) + Final (30%).

• Homework:   Self-checked homework quesitons will be assigned. Homework questions are important references for the chapter tests and the final exam.
• Attendance (10%):   Class attendance will be checked from time to time. Students with perfect attendance record will receive 2 bonus points.
• Chapter Test (60%):   There will be four chapter tests. Each chapter test weights 15% of the total grade. A chapter test will be given right after the corresponding chapter has been completed. Calculators with only arithematic functions are permitted to be used in the tests.
• Final Exam (30%):   The final exam is comprehensive --- it covers all key points of the course.
• Tutorial Section:  Please visit the study partner program.
• Make Up:   Make ups of chapter tests are permitted only with legitimate reasons and documents. Students missing a chapter test should contact me within one week from the excused absence date, and complete the make up within two weeks thereafter. The percentage grade of a missing chapter test without being made up will be 1/2 of the lowest percentage grade of all chapter tests you will have taken.
