With nephew Richard and niece Emma. I can't say enough about
these kids. They are a laugh a minute, at least.
Emma. . .with the best smile. . .ever.
We recently had a family reunion in New Hampshire. Emma thought we
were in "Blue Hamster".
Here's a more recent picture of Richard. Nice rusty swing set, eh?
Yeah. When you go to Uncle Doug's house, be sure you're up to
date on your tetanus shots.

Of course, we can't forget about Caesar. I make it a point
to introduce him to the students in my biochemistry courses, especially
when we are going to discuss the regulation of glycogen metabolism.
As cats go, he is rather portly, weighing in at 15 pounds. This prompted
Neil Varnado (a grad student in the lab) to comment "I think Caesar could
probably take down an eagle". I don't know about that, but any paper
object (paper towel, quiz, exam, bill, etc.) that hits the floor doesn't
stand a chance when Caesar's around.
Here's the tiger sleeping. This is how he spends a good part
of the day.
