“Jazz
and the Blues” Music Historians will research one of the first purely
American forms of music, Jazz music.
You will research its development and the important influences that Jazz
has played in the development of other music, such as Rock and Roll.
You will need to include Ragtime, Big Band, Swing, Dixieland, Jazz, the
Blues, and any other forms that you might discover along the way.
Note: You will find that Jazz was a form of Popular Music in the
early part of the century. Make sure you stick to Jazz forms as you
do your research.
