How to Make Better Grades
 and Have More...
Fun!!

What? A 35 - 40 minute talk that I have developed to provide students with some proven approaches that, if applied, allow you to make better grades, and have more fun in the process!
Where? In dorms, sororities, fraternities, etc. --  basically anywhere there's a group students who want to find out how to make better grades and have more fun.
When? Just about any time.  Someone (like YOU) takes the lead, suggests a mutually convenient time, sets up and gets the word out (I'll provide flyers) about the meeting, and I'll show up.
How? I come to the meeting, distribute an outline of what I'll cover so you'll have something to follow and to reference later, deliver the talk, distribute and collect "comment cards" so (1) I'll have some feedback to evaluate the talk, and (2) to give those present a chance to express their interest in obtaining a copy of the book How to Get Better Grades and Have More Fun by Steve Douglas (undergraduate degree from MIT; top 2% of his Harvard MBA class).  More about the book later.
Why? I enjoy seeing students succeed in college, and in life -- and these techniques will REALLY help.
Contact? You may reach me at my office by phone (334-844-6503), or just stop by the Lowder Business Building, Room 409.  And, my e-mail address is:  ford@business.auburn.edu.
The Book? The book is a short paperback written in a light, easy-to-read "story" style.  In my talk, I present several proven approaches to improving your learning and your grades.  The book complements this by presenting proven techniques, applicable to specific educational situations and assignments, to help you learn, not just make better grades.  For example, some topics in the book include "Doing Homework Right," "Writing Papers," "Coping with Anxiety," "Preparing for Tests," and several others. (Front and back covers of the book are pictured below.)
