Our Family

This is my wife, Dot, with me in Malawi during July, 2002.  Here we're taking a break from our work with missionaries Bob and Pam Brownfield (formerly of Auburn) and the Malawi people.  We are standing on the grounds of a tea plantation, and in the background can be seen one of the many hills in Malawi covered with tea plants.  Beyond that, a grove of Macadamia trees can be seen.

This is our daughter Jennifer and her husband David.  They both graduated from Auburn in 1999 with degrees in MIS and are living in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Both work in Hattiesburg in the MIS field, but for different companies.  Jennifer is a Business Analyst, working primarily in the area of testing.  David is a Systems Engineer responsible for the systems at several hospitals in the region.  They recently provided us with our first grandchild, Leah.  She's now almost a year old.

This is our son Jim and his wife Kelly.  They were married in July, 2003, in Greenville, SC.  Jim graduated from the University of Alabama in May, 2002, with a degree in Investment Finance.  Kelly graduated from Bama with a major in Interior Design.  They are currently living and studying overseas, but will soon return to the States -- Jim will go to graduate school, and Kelly will focus on caring for their first child who is due to appear in early September '08!  Here's a more recent photo of them eating at one of their favorite local outdoor restaurant.  When the baby arrives, these pictures will change!

Jennifer, Jim, and Dot are seen here on one of our Christmas trips to the Reynosa, Mexico area.  The three children are orphans at the orphanage where we're about to distribute Christmas gifts of clothes and toys.  We also distribute clothes, food, and toys in the communities in and around the garbage dumps, which are the poorest of neighborhoods.  We go there with Rick Hagans's Harvest Evangelism of Opelika, Alabama.
